His Story

Skala was born in Crestwood and is running for Illinois Senate for the 14th District. He attended Nazareth Academy High School and Illinois Benedictine College. Twenty-six years ago, he returned to Crestwood, where he raised his three daughters. He is a Local 130 plumber since 1997 and believes organized labor provided his family with a comfortable upbringing. He served on the Crestwood planning and zoning committee and is currently a trustee, contributing to the community's safety and prosperity. Crestwood has operated in the black as long as he has been a trustee and provides a 100% tax rebate for home owning residents.
